On this page you can find more information about our training sessions, coaches, and locations. De Laan van Spartaan (with canteen) is our home venue for matches. Your team’s match schedule can be found in the Mijn Volleybal app (by the Nevobo).
During matches, you wear the official VVA match shirt. If you don’t have a shirt yet, please first contact the TC member of your team; they will assign you a jersey number. We recommend trying on a teammate’s shirt to make sure you order the right size. You can then order the official VVA match shirt via the VVA webshop. You can also shop knee pads, shorts, socks, and more there - with a discount!
Together, we make sure our club runs smoothly and that everyone can enjoy playing volleyball. That’s why each team has several team duties they are responsible for. You can read more about these duties, such as refereeing, bar service, and hall duty, on this page >>
As a member, you pay an annual membership fee. You will be informed about the collection of the membership fee via the Community and by email. You can find the amount of the membership fee here.
How fun is this?! For the past few seasons, VVA has been running its own canteen. That brings a lot of fun and freedom! Think of great parties, watching volleyball matches together, summer BBQs, game nights, and more — but also a menu and interior that we get to decide on ourselves 😉
At the same time, it’s a big responsibility that we all share. That’s why all teams take turns doing bar shifts, and we have a bar committee and bar manager working behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.

VVA Community on WhatsApp
This is our main communication channel. If you haven’t been added yet, ask your teammates. The Community consists of a general “Announcements” group (where all members are included) and several other groups. You are only part of the groups relevant to you, such as your team group and any committees you are a member of.
In the Announcements group, only administrators can share information. As a member, you can respond to shared messages, but you cannot post messages yourself.
This website :)
In addition to the app, this members’ website is an important channel. In principle, you can find all the information you need here. Missing something? Please let the board know and we’ll add it!
Inside VVA: the newsletter
We regularly send out the Inside VVA newsletter by email. Members are automatically added to the mailing list.
Captains
Each team has a Captain who serves as the main point of contact and represents your team. All Captains are also members of the Captains app (a group within the VVA Community).
Don’t forget to follow VVA on Instagram for the best videos and updates!
The confidential contact person is an approachable point of contact within VVA if something unpleasant has happened or if you have questions or concerns. This may relate to aggression, bullying, exclusion, intimidation, or other inappropriate or unacceptable behavior.
The VCP is independent, not part of the board, offers a listening ear, thinks along with you, and can explain possible next steps.
The VVA board is ultimately responsible for the overall management of the club and currently consists of seven members: Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Administration, Communication, Head of Technical Committee, and Head of Youth.
A Head of Youth is certainly no luxury, because besides many senior teams, VVA also has a growing youth department! The Head of Youth oversees the youth committee, which focuses specifically on our younger members.
In addition to the board and the youth committee, many other volunteers are active within various committees. These are coordinated by the volunteer coordinator. Think of our bar committee, referees committee, equipment committee, and more.
