Always play: Every match must be played. Failing to show up is simply not an option. You can even play with 5 players.
Too few players: If a team shows up with fewer than 5 players, that team will receive a 5-point deduction, and the match must be rescheduled.
Not showing up also means deduction of 5 points and rescheduling of the match.
This is how you check in which team you are officially registered at this moment:
Go to www.mijn.nevobo.nl >> mijn gegevens >> competitie >> wedstrijddeelname. Look a the most recent date and the team listed next to it. That is your official team (and level) at this moment.
Playing for a lower-level team than the team you are officially registered with is not permitted.
Playing for a higher-level team is allowed, but please watch out that you don't 'lock' (vast spelen) yourself in that team and therefore may become ineligible to play for your original team if you play too many matches at a higher level.
If this happens, the restriction applies for the entire season (including a half-year competition). The exception is when your team is promoted or relegated after the first half of the season; in that case, you are of course allowed to continue playing in the new division.
The number of times you are allowed to play for another team, the teams you are allowed to play for, and how you become ineligible to play for your original team (including clear examples) can be found in the regulations (in Dutch...) >>
You can not just join any lower level team. You need to make sure that you are not officially registered as a higher-level player (see: being 'locked' in a team).
If a player participates who is officially not allowed to play:
It means a deduction of 5 points for the team that commited the violation.
The opponent has the right to choose whether the match is replayed.
The best result for the team that did not commit the violation will always stand.
If your team has a coach, this person must be officially registered with the club and have a corresponding Nevobo number. This prevents unnecessary fines or point deductions.
This is possible, but keep the following in mind:
The procedure: Requests must always go through the match secretary (wedstrijdsecretaris). He/she will assist with rescheduling the match. Mail to wedstrijdsecretaris@vvamsterdam.nl or check the number via the 'contactpersons overview' you can find in the description of the Community app
No guarantee: The opponent is not obligated to agree to the change.
Tip: Check beforehand as a team to see which alternative dates would work for you to make up the match. Through the nevobo app it's possible to see if there are any free fields on a home play day.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, Nevobo regulations make it easier to cancel a match due to official weather alerts. More info here >>
Action: Always ensure this is handled and communicated through the match secretary.
Please note: Safety comes first, but any canceled matches must still be made up at a later date!
